I’m Alex Cousins.

I’m a cellist, composer, and performer reshaping what this instrument is allowed to be.

I was trained classically—but I never stayed there. Now I play electric. I trust my bow more than the rules.

This is the cello, stripped back and set free.

Everything I do begins with the cello. But I’ve never accepted its limits. Through pedals, tone shaping, and instinct, I’ve reimagined what it can sound like—and what it can say. Whether I’m performing solo, creating immersive experiences with Strings Unbound, or shaping sound inside my alternative rock band, Sunday Reign, the goal is always the same: to make something honest, alive, and unforgettable.

I also work with artists as a coach and educator—helping them break the mold, trust their instincts, and create from a place that actually matters. For me, it’s never just about performance—it’s about presence, truth, and the courage to mean it.
