Teaching Philosophy
I started the cello at fourteen, which is considered late. Many people told me I’d never catch up, but I kept going. The drive to make music came from somewhere deeper than logic or approval—it was just there, and it never left.
That experience shapes how I teach. I don’t believe in rigid formulas or one “right” path. My goal is to help students build both skill and self-trust, so they can play with confidence, tone, and individuality. Lessons focus on movement, sound, and expression—on learning to feel music rather than simply execute it.
Whether you’re a young player finding your footing, an adult returning to music, or someone exploring electric and modern cello, I aim to help you connect with your own voice and make the instrument feel like home.
